Equestrian sports has taken up a large portion on my life. It becomes hard to imagine what would have happened if I never became so immersed in the sport as well as the equestrian community. Over the course of my horse riding journey, I had the pleasure of owning an ex racehorse who I took to compete in show jumping for 6 years. Not only was he a competition horse, but I truly believe that he was a dear friend of mine and an honourable companion to have. After being together for a considerable time, we have both grown as a pair and individually to achieve some commendable goals such as competing in recognised shows within Bahrain and being placed and winning said shows. Through these images I hope to capture his gentleness, patience and friendliness. His affection towards others is definitely worth mentioning and elements can be seen within these photos. During the time I was taking these photos, it occurred to me that time spent with each other is never wasted. We both enjoy the attention and company of each other which has allowed us to grow very close. Growing up in Bahrain has shown me that the equestrian world is highly thought of and to be a part of its community was an adventure that will be well remembered.
